Purity Control Using Refractometer, Spectroscopy IR and Optical Microscope to Analyze New Pigment- Based Phosphate Er2P4O13
摘要
Novel pigment Er2P4O13 was synthesized by a solid-state method. The powder was studied various temperatures from 200 ℃ to 1100 ℃. The evolution of the powder crystallites size was demonstrated by X-rays diffraction. Results showed the decomposition of powder in the temperature range of 850 ℃–1100 ℃. The ion Er3+ absorption spectra were measured in the range of 400–1800 nm. The Optical band gap (Eg) was determined using Tauc’s plots for direct transitions. The refractive index of powder was measured in the same temperature and the simulation semi local DFT was added to confirm the experimental data of band gap for pigment Er2P4O13.
