摘要

The rapid evolution of technology has ushered in transformative shifts in how we acquire knowledge, instruct, and access information. Beyond mere online learning platforms, the spectrum now extends to interactive educational apps, virtual reality lessons, and more, morphing the conventional classroom into a dynamic, immersive, and holistic learning environment. A standout in this technological wave is ChatGPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer), an AI-driven marvel that promises individualized and enriched learning encounters by offering tailored feedback and in-depth explanations for students. While there’s ample research focusing on e-learning acceptance, studies specifically delving into the adoption and integration of ChatGPT remain scant, underscoring a significant research void. Our study endeavors to fill this void by presenting an amalgamated model weaving in three pivotal constructs: perceived learning value, perceived satisfaction, and personal innovativeness. To gather empirical data, a structured survey was rolled out to 261 university attendees in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), with the resultant data being parsed through the partial least squares-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) technique. Key findings illuminate that both perceived learning value and satisfaction critically steer students’ inclination towards harnessing learning platforms augmented by ChatGPT. This investigative foray augments the current discourse on AI’s interplay with education, offering golden nuggets for educators, tech architects, policymakers, and AI visionaries. Such insights pave the way for AI innovations that resonate more deeply with user aspirations while also harmonizing with overarching environmental sustainability goals.
