A Brief Guide to the Implementation of Lean Tools in the Ecuadorian Context

This paper aims to develop a brief guide for implementing “Lean Tools” in the context of the Ecuadorian market. For this objective, a review of the state of the art is accomplished to identify the process, most popular tools, complementary approximations to Lean Thinking, and principal issues found during the implementation process of Lean Tools in Ecuador. It is found that Ecuadorian enterprises have implemented these tools during the past seven years. Establishing guidelines derived from successful cases of Lean Tools implementations is possible.
