Comparative Evaluation of Performance Efficiency in Terms of Temporal Behavior and Resource Utilization, According to the ISO/IEC 25,010 Model, in a Web Application Developed with Angular, React.js, and Vue.js

Choosing a web application framework is crucial for achieving efficient performance in the current software development landscape. This study focuses on evaluating and comparing the performance efficiency of web applications developed using three popular frameworks: Angular, React.js, and Vue.js. The evaluation is based on the ISO/IEC-25010 model, which defines this set of quality characteristics for software systems. The performance of web applications is essential to ensure a positive user experience and maximize resource utilization. However, there is a lack of comparative studies that assess performance efficiency in ISO/IEC-25010 for web applications. This gap creates uncertainty for developers when selecting the most suitable framework for their requirements. This paper compared a web application developed with Angular, React.js, and Vue.js to address this issue. Also, the ISO/IEC-25010 model is adopted, focusing on temporal behavior and resource utilization sub-characteristics. The evaluation uncovered significant insights into the performance efficiency of web applications developed with Angular, React.js, and Vue.js. It is found that each framework exhibited distinct strengths and weaknesses in temporal behavior and resource utilization. The results of this assessment have significant implications for developers and organizations involved in web application development. Firstly, the choice of framework should align with the specific performance requirements of the application.
