Some Questions About the Eirenic Position

I raise questions concerning two ideas in Christopher Peacocke’s Eirenic position: (i) that “the same modes of presentation that feature in the content of perceptual states also feature in the contents of judgements and beliefs”; and (ii) that perceptual states render reasonable certain judgments. I provide an example that casts doubt on these ideas.
