Organization and Internal Democracy

FDI’s second and most recent congress, which remains the only one conducted in accordance with more or less formal procedures, took place from 2 to 3 December 2017, in Trieste. This congress marked the initial step towards strengthening the party’s organization and signalled the beginning of a new phase in the party’s existence, as emphasized by Giorgia Meloni in her closing speech. To gain a clearer understanding of its significance, it is worth considering the party’s organizational framework and internal democratic processes as outlined in the FDI statute, which we will discuss in the paragraphs that follow.
