Treatment of AD with Non-pharmacological Interventions
摘要
This chapter reviews the treatment of atopic dermatitis with non-pharmacological interventions. The mainstay treatment of atopic dermatitis is regular and proactive use of moisturizers. Bathing techniques like the “soak and smear technique” can allow the skin to better retain moisture. Wet wrap therapy can provide significant relief to patients during atopic dermatitis flares, and a step-by-step method of how to perform wet wrap therapy is reviewed. Other non-pharmacologic treatments like exercise techniques, oils, and vitamins have been reported to be beneficial in limited capacities and are briefly reviewed.
