Management of Facial Erythema on Dupilumab Treatment
摘要
Dupilumab is a biologic agent that inhibits IL-4 and IL-13 to treat atopic dermatitis. Though dupilumab has been found to be safe and effective in adults and children, an emerging adverse effect of face and neck dermatitis has been reported in some patients. While there is an association with dupilumab use, the exact diagnosis and pathophysiology remain unclear. Conditions such as allergic contact dermatitis, rosacea-like conditions, and even topical steroid withdrawal have been posited as potential considerations. It is important to exclude other potential diagnoses on the differential before attributing it to the dupilumab itself.
