Substitute Teacher

The proposed dilemma is aimed at adults and university students in the area of education. It sets a situation in which a university professor is holding multiple jobs in order to pay for his son’s health treatment, which leads him to become inattentive with one of his classes, with students lacking in understanding his subject’s content. The class is in doubt about whether or not to report these actions because they want to learn but are afraid of retaliation. At stake are the values of individual and collective responsibility versus solidarity.
