School Violence: Between Lives and Ideals

The proposed dilemma is directed at young people and adults, students or professionals, in secondary and higher education, in the area of education. It presents a situation in which a teacher faces the challenge of whether or not to accept proposals to implement coercive socio-educational measures to contain violence, to the detriment of her preference for educational programs based on cooperation. In the dilemma, values such as the protection of life versus professional integrity and ethical coexistence are at odds.
