Further Manifestations of Depletion Effects
摘要
In this chapter we provide examples of the manifestations of depletion effects in areas such as biology and technology. The addition of nonadsorbing polymers to colloidal suspensions can cause phase separation of the mixture into a colloid-rich and a polymer-rich phase.
