Foot Pathology Analyzer

The redesign of a podoscope can significantly impact the care of patients with plantar pathologies. An improved podoscope may offer benefits such as better accuracy in assessing gait and foot posture and the ability to analyze more detailed data and visualize it more clearly. The redesign could also allow for integration with electronic health information systems, making patient records more accurate and complete and improving the quality of care. Additionally, a redesigned podoscope could be more ergonomic and user-friendly for medical professionals, reducing fatigue and stress. The software includes tools to analyze plantar pressure, plantar arch, muscle balance, and center of mass, these being processed based on image capture of the sole. On the other hand, the hardware has been evolving, observing the results obtained. The following article will deal with the redesign and updates that the podoscope project has had in both software and hardware during the three phases of development, the third being the one currently being implemented.
