摘要

One of the main causes of damage to the population and military personnel in the border regions is mostly metal anti-personnel mines that are buried in strategic sites, for it there is a wide variety of detection systems, with the U.S., Germany, and France being the main innovators in this field. Because most of these systems are patented, it is difficult to market them to other countries that lack resources for the manufacture of this type of technology, for which it is proposed to design and implement a robotic prototype anti-personal metal mine detector based on accessible materials and costs, able of moving on uneven terrain using artificial intelligence for its navigation, avoiding obstacles and detecting anti-personnel metal mines. In addition, the mobile robot performs mapping on the ground by detecting the presence of a metal mine by sending the GPS location via SMS messages. In the tests carried out, the prototype implemented detects the mines in real time, complying with the requirements satisfactorily, providing reliability to safeguard the integrity of the personnel, and speeding up the demining process.
