摘要

Training is the systematic process of readying athletes across various dimensions, encompassing physical, physiological, psychological, technical, and tactical aspects, to optimize their performance. It elicits a psychophysiological response, serving as a stimulus for adaptation, with the magnitude of this response contingent upon the nature, duration, and intensity of the exercises undertaken. Consequently, coaches and sports scientists are increasingly adopting scientific methodologies to craft and oversee training regimens. Within this framework, training load is defined as both the quantity and intensity of exercise executed by the player (external load) and the corresponding internal physiological response (internal load). In essence, monitoring training load affords practitioners a comprehensive understanding of players’ immediate and cumulative reactions to the training program and competitive schedule. This insight serves as a valuable, objective indicator of physical performance output, playing a pivotal role in effectively managing the overall training process. This emphasis on training load monitoring is particularly pertinent today, given the high frequency of matches throughout the season and the prevalence of congested schedules.
