Metastatic Bone Disease: Foot

  • Judd E. Cummings

摘要

Metastatic bone disease involving the foot (acrometastasis) is rare. Nevertheless, even small foci of disease can cause significant morbidity limiting patient function and quality of life. Colorectal, genitourinary, lung, and breast are among the most common sites of primary disease. Surgical management is aimed at providing osseous support to impending or realized fractures while providing pain relief and allowing early weight-bearing activity.
