摘要

Using performance measures is critical in improving organisational performance and guiding informed business decisions within the construction industry. Nonetheless, significant challenges impede the use of performance measures (PM) in Yemen. This study empirically investigated the effect of quality management practices (QMP) on the intricate interplay between strategy (ST) and the use of PM within the context of the Yemeni construction sector. Additionally, it explored the direct effects of QMP and ST on the use of PM. The study utilized a robust dataset from Yemeni construction firms, employing PLS-SEM and SPSS for hypothesis testing and assessing validity and reliability. The findings underscore the significant impact of QMP on the use of PM while revealing that ST exclusively affects the use of PM through the mediating role of QMP. Consequently, this research constitutes one of the pioneering endeavours in examining the influence of QMP on the ST-PM nexus, representing a valuable contribution to the literature. Furthermore, it stands out as a rare empirical investigation focused on this subject matter within the Yemeni construction sector.
