Application of the Water Quality Indices for Assessing of Groundwater Contamination in Rural Environment
摘要
The spatial distribution of groundwater quality is evaluated and published using WebGIS application in a Hungarian settlement. For this evaluation, we used WebGIS tools to quantify and mapping the water quality status of the water hydrochemical monitoring data. 37 groundwater wells were investigated in Báránd settlement in 2021. 35.14% of the water samples were in the poor and very poor water quality status, 21.62% were unsuitable for any usage, and sixteen of the monitored wells were good to excellent. Based on the result, the assessment showed a moderate level of contamination of groundwater. Assessing the spatial distribution of the water quality status highlighted that the northern and the southeastern areas of the settlement were the most contaminated in Báránd settlement. In addition, the most important results of the assessment are the published webmap with water quality data, which help the visual interpretation of the purification processes for the public.
