Compact Design of SIW Resonator Using Differential Evolution Algorithm
摘要
Substrate Integrated waveguide (SIW) filters are the main element in the development of various microwave and millimeter-wave applications. However, the choice of SIW resonator dimensions must be judicious to obtain a performing system given that the quality’s filter depends first on the quality of the resonators that compose it. In this paper, a design of a Miniaturized SIW resonator based on a Differential Evolution Algorithm is proposed. Three main types of losses are reduced: conductive, dielectric, and radiation losses. The Attenuation Constant result is largely beneficial, with an optimal value of 0.13 dB/m at 10 GHz frequency. Moreover, validation results performed by Ansys HFSS also indicate complete agreement with lower loss (Reflection coefficient: S11= −41 dB and Transmission coefficient: S21= −0.3 dB). Because of its compactness and losslessness, SIW maintains an appropriate solution for meeting the requirements of future intelligent systems.
