Differential Diagnoses in Clinical Mimics
摘要
In this chapter, we will discuss cardiac disorders that share the same hypertrophic pattern as cardiac amyloidosis (CA) but differ in clinical and epidemiological pathognomonic aspects. Left ventricular hypertrophy is a phenotype rather than a diagnosis, which results from a number of myocardial diseases, some of which exclusively involve the heart, while others feature a systemic impact like Anderson-Fabry disease. Although the cardiac presentation might appear similar, each of these cardiac disorders has its own unique characteristics, resulting from a variety of aetiologies, ranging from a hereditary base to an autoimmune or degenerative cause. Each disease will be briefly discussed, along with its distinguishing features from CA.
