Pressure Sensors Based on Piezoelectric Polymers for Biomedical Wearable Applications
摘要
This paper presents flexible pressure sensors based on polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) manufactured by electrospinning technique. PVDF is a piezoelectric polymer characterized by its outstanding mechanical, chemical and thermal properties. Different manufacturing conditions and treatments were analyzed in order to improve the sensors’ piezoelectric performance. Furthermore, the effects of carbon nanotubes’ incorporation in the polymeric matrix were studied. These are the first advances on the development of wearable devices for pressure measurements.
