Cleanrooms and Controlled Environments Analysis in a High Complexity Hospital

This research work is framed within the area of Clinical Engineering and Medical Technology Management and involves the Clean Area Analysis within a high complexity hospital. In view of the lack of knowledge of air quality conditions of the critical sectors of the hospital, the purpose is to generate a procedure for the measurement and evaluation of operating rooms, immunocompromised rooms and isolation in therapies. With this study, the classification of areas according to ISO 14644 standards and the assessment of bio contamination according to ISO 14698 standards was achieved. Number of particles, air changes, differential pressure and air microbiology were tested. It was developed in the Clinical Engineering service of the hospital, with equipment acquired by the institution. Corrective actions will be carried out based on the results obtained.
