Research on Reliability Design Analysis Application to Gas Turbines

The complex mechanical structure and harsh working environment of gas turbines have posed significant challenges to their reliability. Reliability design analysis is an essential technical activity that can identify and eliminate potential defects and weaknesses in products, which contributes to providing crucial theoretical support and optimization strategies for gas turbine design and reliability improvement. However, current gas turbine reliability design analysis is plagued by problems such as a lack of available data, incomplete reference standards, and insufficient systematic application. This paper compares the previous application studies on gas turbine reliability design with the requirements of national military standards and product reliability design analysis. The development trends and shortcomings regarding existing application research are also summarized and analyzed. Based on these findings, the paper suggests future directions and core contents for gas turbine reliability design analysis, which could provide a useful reference for this approach’s systematic application and development.
