Blockchain-Enhanced Pediatric Vaccine Management: A Novel Approach Integrating NFTs, IPFS, and Smart Contracts
摘要
This paper introduces a pioneering approach that employs blockchain, Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), and smart contracts to establish a secure and universally accepted vaccination record system for pediatric healthcare. Traditional paper-based vaccination records face inefficiency, susceptibility to fraud, and limited cross-border interoperability. Leveraging blockchain’s decentralization, immutability, and transparency, this paper aims to transform how pediatric vaccination records are created, stored, and shared. NFTs represent individual vaccination records, rendering them immutable and tamper-proof. Smart contracts automate processes, enhance data accuracy, and streamline verification. A cross-platform proof-of-concept demonstrates adaptability across various blockchain environments. The integration of the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) ensures resilient and decentralized data storage, mitigating data loss risks. In the contributions, this paper revolutionizes pediatric vaccine management, offering a secure and efficient system that harnesses the potential of blockchain technology, NFTs, and smart contracts.
