Physiology and Prevention of Cold Stress Injuries
摘要
In contrast to heat stress, cold stress presents challenges to the body in retaining heat produced by metabolism. Air temperatures of 31.1 °C (88 °F) and lower may represent cold stress conditions to healthy people (for example, in newborns who are between two to 10 days old), and temperatures below 35 °C (95 °F) (may pose a risk of cold stress injury to individuals without insulation or without functioning thermal regulation mechanisms.
