From Head to Heart
摘要
On the journey of a servant leader in becoming “healthier, wiser, freer, and more autonomous” (Greenleaf 1998, p. 1), individuals experience a shift in consciousness. In this shift is a journey from leading from the mind to an integration in leading with heart. “Leadership is not an affair of the head. It is an affair of the heart” (Kouzes and Posner 2012, p. 345). Often the catalyst for the shift involves an undesired external factor, like a reorganization or a job reduction. The loss is the soon realized gain; in the letting go is the entry into the heart.
