AI Leadership Competencies
摘要
Modern organizations face unprecedented changes as artificial intelligence reshapes traditional business operations, demanding new approaches to leadership. Through extensive analysis of recent research and organizational experiences, this entry examines the essential competencies leaders need to succeed in AI-enabled environments. The findings reveal four interconnected domains of leadership capability: technical understanding, human relationship skills, change management abilities, and strategic insight. Leaders must develop sufficient technical literacy to guide AI implementation while maintaining high levels of emotional intelligence to support their teams through transformation. They need sophisticated change management capabilities to handle the dynamic nature of AI adoption, alongside strategic acumen to identify meaningful AI opportunities and manage associated risks. Rather than treating these as separate skill sets, successful leaders integrate these competencies to create organizations that harness AI’s potential while nurturing human development. This work synthesizes current knowledge to provide a practical framework for developing well-rounded leaders who can build technically sophisticated yet deeply human organizations. The research suggests that mastering these competencies will separate organizations that merely survive from those that flourish in an AI-enabled future.
