The Law and Economics of change offers an interdisciplinary approach to analyze processes of organizational, societal, and institutional change through the lenses of legal structures and economic theory. The Law and Economics investigation of change examines how laws enable or constrain dynamic transitions. For instance, the Law and Economics of change guide on how economic incentives shape change agents’ behavior. Insights on the drivers of change enable to derive information on how institutional frameworks affect the efficiency, direction, and outcomes of change efforts.
