Harassment at Workplace

Harassment at workplace is attracting attention worldwide due to increasing incidences with its adverse effects on the well-being of different people. The persons inflicting harm upon others are usually narcissistic and psychopathic personalities with manipulative tendencies to harm others, excessively controlling and suppressing others, but cowardly in nature, with hidden inferiority complexes. The different factors contributing to harassment at the workplace include negative leadership, the presence of psychopaths, envy and organizational politics, and a lack of mindfulness and ethics. As harassment carries different adverse effects on the well-being of employees and the organization, it needs to be minimized. For this, positive leadership with an ethical approach can play a crucial role in minimizing harassment by fostering an environment of ethics and spirituality at workplace.
