Cardiac PET Instrumentation

PET instrumentation is robust and widely available with a variety of image quality-improving options. This includes dedicated PET, PET/CT with CTA as well as digital PET/CT. PET instrumentation is vastly different that that used for SPECT imaging. Attenuation correction is routine in PET with either line-source or CT solutions. PET myocardial blood flow assessment is now commonplace in cardiac PET laboratories performing perfusion studies.
