Radiation Safety in Nuclear Cardiology

All nuclear cardiology studies are associated with radiation exposure, but very low. Regardless, a goal of all nuclear cardiac imaging is to reduce radiation exposure as low as possible without affecting clinical value. Strategies to reduce radiation exposure include stress-only imaging, hardware and software upgrades, PET Imaging when possible.
