Interpretation and Reporting of SPECT/PET Myocardial Perfusion Imaging

Interpretation and systematic reporting of nuclear cardiology studies is essential for effective communication from the interpreting physician to the referring physician. Several policies and guidelines have been developed which aid in the successful interpretation of myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) studies. Over the past decade, there has been significant change in the practice of nuclear cardiology along with changes in structured reporting. This chapter highlights the key elements of interpretation reporting of SPECT MPI studies.
