摘要

Subjects including a high ratio of contents related to the application of standards and law restrictions usually produced a strong decreased in motivation in engineering students. Gamification techniques have proved to be effective in increasing both motivation towards the subject, as well as inter and intra personal skills. For these reasons, it has been proved to be a great candidate to update traditional teaching methodologies in technical subjects as Graphic Engineering. However, current available degrees in most Spanish universities are bilingual and that drastically changes how the subject should be approach by both professors and students. A gamification experience has been carried out in two different groups, one in usual Spanish language and another bilingual, to address the differences that arise when implementing this new methodology in bilingual degrees. Both groups of students show a high interest in the new proposed methodology, even over a traditional one, and also consider that it has helped to improve their social and intrapersonal skills. In addition, recommendations to overcome the limitation due to the use of a different language to the native one are proposed.
