Test Tube Manufacturing for Mechanical Tests from Recycled Materials

Metals are a fundamental element in many current structures and sustainable objectives also involve giving them more extensive use. In this area, remelting is considered as a possibility for the reuse of metals. In this paper, a methodology for aluminium remelting is presented. First, a specific mold is designed and manufactured in order to obtain the necessary test tubes in the next step, this, in the metal casting. After each casting, a sample is made by encapsulation. Finally, fatigue tests are carried out to characterize the properties of the metal after each recasting.
