摘要

The objective of this paper is to show the development of an alternative design for a rigid mountain bike frame. To achieve this, a generative design process was used to provide an optimized solution based on the requirements of the frame and an additive manufacturing production process. The project begins with the selection of a conventional mountain bike frame from the current cycling market as the basis for the design. Using this model, a new alternative configuration was generated through generative design, which was also studied and analyzed using finite element software. This alternative design was subjected to the various tests outlined in the UNE-EN ISO 4210-6 standard: Safety requirements for bicycles, ensuring its suitability. Finally, an aesthetically attractive frame was achieved that meets the requirements of regulations and presents good strength and weight properties within the market range.
