UAV and Laser Scanner Point Clouds Integration
摘要
The evolution in the techniques that allow the capture of information for the modeling of objects, facilities or territories has been very remarkable in recent years. In this sense, the potential of drones and laser scanners in this field should be highlighted, which allow a rapid capture of information with a high level of detail. Both techniques can complement each other, since the limitations of each one is the strength of the other and vice versa. But to solve this complementarity, the integration of the point clouds generated by each technique must be previously solved, since in principle each of these techniques captures the information and then generates its point cloud in an arbitrary reference system. To carry out the integration of point clouds there are several procedures. In this research, a methodological proposal is made by integrating the support points required by each technique. This integration requires an adequate planning in terms of design and pre-signaling of the support points themselves, but also that the topographic technique for the determination of their coordinates is the same for all of them. This integration of the support points makes it possible to distribute the residual errors of the observation with drones and laser scanner in the error of this topographic determination, which optimizes the integration of the point clouds.
