Microwave Gadgets – Domestic Applications

Electromagnetic waves (microwaves) have been used since last 8–9 decades. Microwave heating of food sources in domestic microwave oven takes place due to the polarization effect of electromagnetic radiation. Improving heating uniformity has been an enduring objective of microwave processes, which has been discussed. The food industry is the largest beneficent of microwave energy in such processes as drying, blanching, cooking, defrosting, pasteurization, sterilization, baking, heating, and fat melting. Application of microwave in home domestic, commercial and industrial microwave ovens is discussed. The microwave gadgets have become an essential part of most households and its application is increasing as it offers a quick and efficient way to prepare food, save time, and reduce energy consumption.
