Improving EFL Students’ Interdisciplinary and Multimodal Presentation Skills

There are few opportunities for English as a Foreign Language (EFL) students to practise multimodal presentation activities in an interdisciplinary setting. To address this need, the Interdisciplinary and Multimodal Presentation (IMP) project was created using the frameworks of Language Learning and Teaching Beyond the Classroom and Global Sharing Pedagogy. The IMP project provided an opportunity for a group of students from the same discipline to explain domain-specific concepts to people from various backgrounds. Students engaged in knowledge exchange, skill creation, cooperation, networking, and the development of digital literacies as a result of the five-session implementation of IMP, all of which contributed to students completing the project in extracurricular settings. Furthermore, some students apply skills learned through the IMP project in extramural settings.
