摘要

The global digitalization of all spheres of human activity has caused the transition of most types of economic activity to the digital space. The emergence of new opportunities has simplified, among other things, the investment processes, which have become more accessible to the economic community, but has changed the language sense of people and led to the transformation of the linguistic worldview. This fact determined the need to analyze new mental structures reflecting the human perception of digital reality. One of the key terms of the modern system of remote investments is the digital currency as a universal instrument of exchange. The analysis of the concept “digital currency” is presented in the article. During the analysis we have taken into account the achievements of the linguocognitive and linguoculturological approaches. The sources of the study were lexical units contained in electronic dictionaries and scientific publications on the relevant subject and representing the cognitive features of the concept “digital currency”. The conclusion that is to be made from the performed analysis is that this concept is a multi-level frame consisting of a core and subframes located on the near and far periphery of the concept. The core of the frame “digital currency” is the figurative component of the concept, which determines its perception in the linguistic worldview by the modern society of the digital age. The image of the concept “digital currency”, according to the analysis, is the idea of the first digital currency—bitcoin, which is associated in the language sense of the digital society with the profit earned from investments. The subframes included in the concept define the conceptual and evaluative content of this mental structure, represented at the language level by the corresponding lexical units. The use of these lexical units reflects the influence of digitalization processes in the investment system on the formation of a linguistic worldview.
