Theoretical and Legal Comprehension of the Essence of Meta-Universe as a Promising Investment Platform for the Conclusion of Remote Investment Transactions in the Virtual Real Estate Market

This study attempts to comprehend the term meta-universe from the point of view of its advantages for investors and such a direction of investment as investment in virtual real estate existing within meta-universes. Attention is drawn to the diversity of existing definitions of metavillage concepts. In the context of the research topic, the problems and challenges associated with the emergence and development of metavillages are outlined. It is revealed that at present, despite the dynamic development of metavillages and large investment transactions aimed at the acquisition or resale of virtual real estate within the metavillage, neither the procedure for concluding such transactions nor the legal regime of virtual real estate within the metavillage is not fixed in the legislation. In this regard, the risks investors may face as a result of acquiring virtual real estate in the meta-universe are outlined below.
