Classification of Threats to Information Security of the “Smart Home” System
摘要
The “smart home” system is a hardware and software complex, within which a large flow of information is processed, and therefore the “smart home” system is subject to information security threats. Unfortunately, modern developments in the field of “smart home” technology do not contain a unified methodology for describing “smart home” systems, therefore there is no unified methodology for detecting and assessing information security threats to “smart home” technology. Threats to information security depend on the methods of building a “smart home” system, the technologies used and the information being processed, which is confirmed by the authors of the article, presented at the International Symposium “Reliability and Quality”. Many existing solutions for additional protection of information security “smart home” use the method of operation, which consists in connecting to a router and monitoring the flow of information between devices connected to Wi-Fi. This method limits the range of supported devices. Also, some of the existing solutions additionally collect and send data on the operation of smart home devices to cloud storage, which can become an additional threat. The above aspects of the analysis of the state of the field of information security of the “smart home” technology prove the relevance of the topic under consideration.
