Integrating Corpora and Data-Driven Learning into Lesson Planning
摘要
Despite challenges such as computer power and instructors’ technological knowledge (Yoon and Hirvela, J Second Lang Writ 13:257–283, 2004; Boulton, Lang Lear 60:534–572, 2010), the development of user-friendly online corpus tools and ready-made lesson plans has made corpus-based teaching more accessible for language teachers. These resources enable educators to create dynamic and interactive lessons, enriching the learning experience and preparing students for real-world language use. This chapter explores the integration of corpus tools and Data-Driven Learning (DDL) into lesson planning. The first part of the chapter addresses the benefits of incorporating corpus tools and techniques in lesson planning. The second part focuses on the indirect applications of corpus resources in the classroom, while the third part examines the direct applications.
