Computer-assisted language learning (CALL) is rapidly evolving and becoming increasingly used in speaking learning. With advancements in technology, a growing number of CALL tools have been developed. The entry is organized into three main sections: (1) English Speaking Learning in a CALL Environment, (2) The Role of CALL Tools in Speaking Development, and (3) AI-Enhanced Speaking Learning. It will begin with an introduction to common CALL tools and their functions in fostering oral language development. Additionally, it will cover the benefits of CALL in language learning, the roles of CALL tools, and how to use CALL tools to fulfil the tutor role in English oral learning, proposing a three-stage corpus-aided speaking learning method for English speaking instruction. We will also introduce the advantages and disadvantages of corpus-aided and artificial intelligence (AI)-powered speaking learning. To address the limitations of using corpora and AI tools, we will explore a corpus- and AI-integrated speaking learning method combining corpora with AI tools creating a more interactive and effective oral language learning environment. This entry will bring new insights into speaking learning and valuable resources for learners.
