With the expansion in media volume, the importance of media literacy has grown, underscoring the significance of media literacy education. Encouraging media literacy in educational contexts, particularly in language education, is essential for helping learners navigate a vast and often overwhelming domain with greater comprehension and discernment. Embedding critical thinking skills into language learning activities empowers learners to evaluate accuracy and bias and make informed decisions regarding the media that they consume, create and share.
