Technology Enhanced Place-Based CALL
摘要
Learning about a culture does not happen in isolation from the physical places and spaces and ecologies where culture is maintained, practiced, and/or contested. Places have a profound impact on both what and how we learn. This entry highlights place-based concepts, research and applications in language learning and discusses technology-enhanced place-based language learning (TEPBLL). Place-based teaching in CALL helps instructors and students to examine how local heritage, cultural practices, and linguistic landscapes can serve as the basis for teaching languages and intercultural concepts that constitute L2 geoliteracy.
