Knowledge Share and the External Environment

The environment is the broader context in which organizations and individuals live and operate. Its characteristics are key to the knowledge-based economy for knowledge production, as well as knowledge sharing. In this chapter, we will look at how the environment in which universities and public research organization operate can affect their knowledge share (KS) processes.
