摘要

Without a radical change in our energy mix, our modes of production, consumption and living, greenhouse gasemissions and environmental impacts will explode. While energy efficiency and sufficiency are essential levers ofaction for rich countries (50% of global emissions are generated by 10% of the population, i.e., 750 million people[2]), they are inappropriate for 90% of the world's population, who aspire to a better quality of life. The energy andecological transition is an unavoidable reality, but it must above all be egalitarian, with a better distribution andmanagement of energy and natural resources. To achieve this transition, Western countries can tighten their belts, but this will not be enough to compensate for the increased needs globally. We therefore need innovation and investmentnow more than ever. Finance has a key role to play.
