Demand Forecasting, Production Planning, and Inventory Control

This chapter is devoted to principles and applications of supply chain analytics to demand forecasting, production planning, and inventory control. First, we learn how to manage demand and lead time uncertainty. Statistical demand forecasting methods and inventory control policies are explained. Subsequently, production planning using linear programming method is introduced.
