The Situation of Separated Families During the COVID-19 Pandemic: An Analysis of the Situation of Parents and Children in Different Separation Models in Saxony

The article analyzes the effects of the Corona pandemic on separation families in the state of Saxony in the Federal Republic of Germany. The focus is on separation families who practice the residential model, often referred to as the large group of single parents, as well as separation families who live in the alternating model. On the basis of empirical results, the consequences of the pandemic for the well-being and stress perception of both parents and children are discussed.
