摘要
The global COVID-19 pandemic has revolutionized various aspects of life, including the delivery of social work services. Unprecedented in history, this crisis posed challenges to providing essential support to families in line with social work values. The pandemic disrupted the traditional implementation of these principles, necessitating innovative and creative approaches to reshape services. Pandemic protocols often constrained conventional methods, prompting a search for user-friendly strategies. This chapter delves into effective strategies and interventions for social work during pandemics, drawing on lessons from the COVID-19 era. The fourth industrial revolution’s emphasis on technology proves advantageous for situations hindering direct human contact. Reflecting on social workers’ experiences during the pandemic, this study references peer-reviewed journals as secondary data sources. It explores how social workers adapted assessments, home visits, and counseling while adhering to COVID-19 restrictions, addressing challenges, and proposing recommendations for future readiness.
