Discussion: Between Strengths and Weaknesses of Assessing Conservativism Within Our Action-Theoretical Scheme

  • Enno Freiherr von Fircks

摘要

This chapter discusses the findings from the action-theoretical scheme that we developed to study the conservative phenomenon from an ecological perspective. Here, I discuss the implications for the organizational and therapeutic domain from a political perspective. For instance, with our Boeschian action-theoretical scheme, we might be able to deduce specific interventions if people are not able to relate to an overlying structure with their important personological needs. Those people are then inhibited in the fulfillment of their very own personal needs, which might trigger resistance, frustration, and counter-productive conduct. Here, the construction and preservation of a meaningful environment is a necessary prerequisite to lead a person-centered life yet not being isolated from the significant social other.
